Hong Kong
So, 48 hours in Hong Kong... after my upgrade and serious luggage issues, I landed in Hong Kong. I was greeted by Liz (who used to sit next to me at Lavender) and her partner Greg, whom I was staying with. Basically Hong Kong is just one massive slope. And there is this escalator that goes from the foreshore to the top. It goes down until after 10.30am when it changes direction and goes up until midnight. Stange, but cool. Hong Kong is just a random town, but its a cool place. It was National Day on the Sunday, so liz and Greg got monday off and we did a bit of walking around the peak and a bit of reliving childhood memories of mine over at Stanley beach. Check it out, here are some photos.
Here is stanley beach... but where is Maxi and Batu? Pontoons still there though.
Liz and Greg on one of the escalators back to their place on the mid-levels.
Some girls who took a liking to me in Kowloon. They are only human.
We had dinner at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club... look dad, they are waiting for you...
Air-conditioning, a postmodern, architechtual statement about man's control over nature.
Simple signage is always tastefully done.
Just incase you didnt know what these were for or how to use a shoe correctly.
Anyone for a refreshing glass of sweat?
I can't see a market for it myself, but each to their own. I wonder what degree you would need to work at this shop...
And thats hong kong, BIG, odd and very hot. But I had a really good time. Thanks Liz, thanks Greg.
Next stop... Spain.

Not too sure about sun baking Hong Kong style... That beach looks suspect.

I actually thought that was Le Bull for a minute and was freaked out. Wot is that man doing in the photo, was he their dad?
Liz looks so cute! She tried to explain the whole commuting via escalator thing to me and I didn't really get it. Hmm. I'll be round to pick up my jeans soon.
