Birthday, Museums and other random London.
Burger King have brought out a meal dedicated to me and what top quality meat I am. I believe the slogan is: "Angus, The Finest."
So, I turned 23 the other week (18th). 'Twas a thursday night, just went out with a few people from our new little crew - Obviously Chris was there, little mike, Jess, Kim and Siobhan came. Hvaing a few drinks at the Pitcher&Piano in Soho we wandered around being refused entry to many places. One place refused to let us in because "we only wanted the cheap drinks". Well obviously! Why else would you offer cheap drinks if you are not going to let people in to drink them... odd or rather O-D-D.
Last Saturday Chris and I had a bit of tourisim and culture. We went to the british museum. I thought it would be a bit more "We are the British and we pillaged the world of all thats good, stole it and put it in one building." Except seems they felt a bit guilty over the past few years and gave it back. However, the building is amazing. Here is the roof in the central garden court reading room thing.
Then Malin could come out on Saturday night so we went out to again celebrate my birthday. We went to After School Party at the London School of Economics Bar. Its just like being back in Bathurst, only in London and more Emos. The cloak room is a squash court.
Once we left the bar we turned the corner to find the Australian High Commission. Appears they were having a party to celebrate surf lifesaving. They had 4 flags strapped to a front pillar. We thought that they would look nice eitherside of our firepace so we aquired them. Turns out, our dear friend Karla had in fact organised them to be sent to london, she wants us to send them back, but we can't... how would people know where to swim in our living room? It is the fault of the high commission for strapping flags to a pillar within easy reach of 2 increadibly, um, patriotic australians at 3am on a saturday night. Here is us on the bus ride home with our flags.
And finally... here is one of my flatmates katrina wearing the arms of my ski jacket and a packet of her precious digestives in her lap. Good times.

I expect you to send those flags back Angus and Chris!!
They aren't doing anyone any good in your lounge room!
Also, I love that I have to explain to my colleages that my I have trashbag/clepto friends all around the world! No where is safe!
Actually... of that I am quite proud!
Still - Send them back.
